BIG gonads

Reading this, and then this and this I was interested in the NDP's response, and I found this.

Yeah, really big gonads. Huge ones.

I'd imagine lots of lawyers are being consulted this afternoon.

Update: A friend points out to me that the NDP Web site appears to have an automatic function that scans past press releases for keywords related to current press releases, and posts them next to the new release as related links.

Take a look at the links with today's nasty little missive from Judy.

Hmm. What was that again about busy lawyers?

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said it is charging only one person -- a senior civil servant in the Finance Department -- as a result of its investigation.

So what's the problem with the NDP's statement? They were right, there was something there that needed investigating. And Goofdale does owe Leis an apology for the way he reacted.

Goodale owes Leis an apology? Huh? Is this guy for real?

Leis is a nagging nasty piece of work and this time it backfired on her.

"Leis is a nagging nasty piece of work and this time it backfired on her."

She contacted the mounties because there appeared to be a leak because of spiked activity.

And she was right. And watch what you call her or i'll tell Stronach.

Robert, you cannot be serious.

JWLeis, did not keep her story there. She openly maligned Goodale at every opportunity, even on shows like Duffy and Politics and in the House, through heckling.

She was beyond arrogant today on Politics, as was Diane Ablonzy on
Duffy. Joe Comartin, (whom I like actually), was disappointing as well.

The Hill is a big political hornet's nest right now and I just see it getting worse.

Mr. Goodale did not goof, nor do anything wrong. He more or less said "fine, I'm open to an investigation" and made sure his staff were also investigated.

The gall to suggest that Goodale owes anyone an apology is disgusting.

Judy is in trouble and she knows it. Jack's covering for her, but that will just get him in trouble too.

Flaherty said a mouthful as well, suggesting that the investigation is on-going and we still don't know everything we need to know about Goodale.

I agree with Jeff...the lawyers are busy tonight.

Jeff may be onto something.

A lawyer friend of mine pointed out the same thing to me today.

Nice historical rewrite. Too bad it's fantasy though. JWLeis only called for an investigation and for Goodale to step down from his cabinet post while that took place. I defended Goodale from the Conservative slurs at the time and if the NDP had of stepped over the line I would have defended him against them as well. So unless you can provide evidence of this maligning, we're just going to have to conclude that the only maligning taking place is being perpetrated on your part.

Wow, now that you have added the update I went and read a bunch of their old income trust related releases.

They were really trying to hang the Libs on this. Way to build faith in our government institutions Judy.

She should be sued!

See the update Robert, one piece of evidence is quite conveniently on the NDP Web site, next to the press release...

And that's just one example.

Rather odd choice of metaphor....

Why is everyone so sue happy? Do lawyers really need to make more money?

I honestly don't understand the connection your making here? Why do you need lawyers?

I read that before I even posted my first comment. There's nothing in it or any of the other NDP releases that step out of bounds. The questions raised are all legitimate and in none of the cases does the NDP prejudge Goodale or any other Liberal as guilty.

The NDP did nothing beyond what was expected of them as an opposition party.

Robert, I would suggest you wait before becoming self righteous.

I did not re-write history my friend, I've watched her. If there was a way for me to gain access to the tapes of shows she's been on, I would.

Unless the media is completely anti-Liberal, they will pull comments. She went well beyond being an opposition member. Vindictive comes to mind.

This matter aside, you like this woman?

Joshua, in a nutshell, accusing or implying that someone committed a criminal act, when it turns out they didn't, is not legally permitted. It appears that a number of times the line may have been crossed. At the very least, an apology from Judy for those accusations would seem to be in order.
