Dear CBC Sports,

When it's time for the Stanley Cup Finals in a few weeks (with, God willing, the Senators competing) could you please send Bob Cole to the golf course and let young Jimmy Hughson call the play by play?

And if Bob needs Harry Neale to caddy I'd be totally cool with that too.

See you at the next Liberal media conspiracy meeting.

Thanks,

Jeff

What we need the CBC to do is get Cassie Campbell doing the analyst at ice level ie. Pierre Maguire.

Pierre... he's... interesting.

But go easy on ol' Harry. He's my second cousin or something somewhere in the family tree.

No right-thinking Maple Leaf fan would EVER cheer for the Senators - not that Buffalo is much higher on the friends list.. but in this case, they'll do.

I can tolerate your relative Darren, but Cole has gotta go.

Scott, "right-thinling Maple Leaf fan"? I'm afraid there is no such thing...

Have to disagree with you on this. Hughson is so overrated. The only good thing about Cole retiring would be Hughson moving east to replace him and someone else doing Canucks games.

Harry Neale is still the best colour commentator that I've heard.

Are you kidding? I have a family member who does the colour on some WHL games heard on the radio... he has a nasally annoying voice, knows next to nothing about hockey, and can't string a proper analogy together. Biggest laugh came when at a family gathering I remarked publicly how he "had the Harry Neale school of commentary" down flat.

(Hey stephen, please tell me what a 'ten-biller' is!)
