Yah, that's Mr. Harper. Spot on!
should have mentioned Clement's disppearance in Denver.
And yet, surprisingly, it hasn't hurt Tory popularity. It's puzzling. As a Tory supporter, I cringed at Ritz's comments, and thought surely the Tories would pay for this in the polls. But Ipsos-Reid, Nanos, Harris-Decima, etc, all have the Tories at or just below 40% support, while Liberal support actually dropped a few points over the last 2 days.
Mike, these things can take a little while to sink in, and the combination of paid and earned media can do its work. (And I got the impression the Liberals had risen and Tories had dropped in both Ekos and Nanos.)
The polls we're getting daily are all multi-day rolling samples. Nanos, for example, is a three-day. So it will take time both for any potential impact to sink-in, and time for it to be registered fully in the polls.
I like this ad very much and hope to see more like it! Make Harper the focus! Has this ad aired on television yet? 1,600 or so views on YouTube isn't exactly tearing it up.
