All ballots counted, Dosanjh still won

The re re-count is over, all the votes have been counted a second time, and Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh is still the MP for Vancouver-South:

Liberal Ujjal Dosanjh retains Vancouver South seat after 2nd recount

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - It's now official, and final. A second (and complete) recount of federal election results in Vancouver South has not changed the result. Incumbent Liberal Ujjal Dosanjh has retained his seat by 20 votes over Conservative Party candidate Wai Young.

The original recount gave Dosanjh a win by only 22 votes instead of the 33-vote margin on election night. The original recount was protested by Young, because a number of ballot boxes were not opened.

Much analysis to come over at ITQ I'm sure. Next challenge for Liberals: ensuring it's never that close again. And for everyone, perhaps some clarity around the rules for recounts and what not.

Yes, it seems that we need some kind of uniform policy for sure.
