Mississauga councilor: Conservative ridings get $, rest get scraps

That's certainty how I'd read the comments of Mississauga councilor Sue McFadden, who was explaining her reasoning for deciding to seek the Conservative nomination for Mississauga-Streetsville, held by Liberal MP Bonnie Crombie:

“In the three years on Council I saw we were getting only scraps from the provincial and federal governments. I look at what Bob Dechert (Tory MP for Mississauga-Erindale, elected in 2008) has been able to deliver and I realized that I can better contribute to my community if I’m in Ottawa.”
We've all always expected that the Conservatives drastically favour their own ridings when it comes to distributing the Canadian taxpayer's infrastructure and stimulus funding. And now we have a city councilor and wannabe candidate confirming the ugly truth: the Conservatives disproportionately dole out the pork to their own ridings, and the rest of the country can suck a lemon.

When the CPC hold 143 seats it makes sense money is returned to those taxpayers as well.

The CPC hold 46% of the seats?
The Lib hold 25% of the seats?

Does this mean you interested in 25% of money just for those 77 Liberal held ridings?

Are you upset the Liberal record for inaction regarding stimulus in 1990's?

I recently moved to Oakville and found out it has been 30 years since we have recieved any Federal dollars. Are you suprised we are now upgrading our Go Transit, Sheridan College, Water Treatment Plants?

Looks like all three levels of governments are working together.

What about your mayor?

Quebec Premier Jean Charest came to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's defence yesterday, suggesting the federal government is acting quickly on the infrastructure file.

Charest said much of U.S. President Barack Obama's $800-billion infrastructure package has yet to be spent.

"Very little of that money has gone out the door," Charest said. "We are building now."

If you want to look several ridings that have no Conservative MP have recieved federal dollars.

Are you suggesting the Public Service who are responsible for administration of EAP are partisan?

The Provincial and Municipal levels of government incompetent in applying for funding?

I am aware David Miller was the only mayor who did not cooperate with the rules and regulations and bet on a $ 600 million Thunder Bay manufacturing contract.
