I love the smell of hypocritical outrage in the morning. Smells like sulphur

My colleagues at the National Post are all upset because Michael Ignatieff said something mean or not nice about Stephen Harper or something. And I must say, I wholeheartedly share their outrage.

Ignatieff making this personal attack on the Conservative leader clearly shows that he's just in it for himself. He's just visiting. He's out of touch because he lived in England and taught at Harvard. He isn't a real Canadian. He wants to raise taxes on everyone and everything. He's an ivory tower elitist. And he didn't even cry when Goose died in Top Gun -- that's just not human.

We can't allow this unprecedented un-positivity from the Liberal leader go un-checked. Why, if we don't nip this in the bud now, who knows where it could lead. Attack ads outside of an election campaign? Web sites dedicated to made-up personal smears? Turning over our own web site to negative smears and photo-shopped images of our opponent instead of talking about positive isues and policy?

My friends, I don't want to travel that road.

Please, won't someone think of the children!

BTW, the usual media suspects are entirely missing the point of Ignatieff's sulfur comments, as usual. In fact, with the clever allusion to scripture, the comments were a coded message designed to woo Christian voters.

And fans of the periodic table of the elements. Next week, he links Harper to barium.

So, watch for that.

Not sure about you, Liberals are having a problem with the social conservatives.

They pushed for funding of abortions in the third world to spike the ball with the Maternal health initiative of the Harper.

The wafer story did not help either. Pope gave audience and photos to Harper and not Pelosi. Any high ranking Canadian Liberal getting a photo with the Pope in the last ten years? (Even the Pope can spot a fake Christian).

Do you remember Dion admitting on air to Coren he invoked God so often because he was told that CTS had religious viewers?

John Mackay has been sent out to mend fences but a few studies show the tough sledding. The problem is not limited to only Christians, but many religious groups.

SSM mucked it up for the Liberals. Even Obama in 2009 understands to not throw the baby out with the bath water.

How did the social conservatives in the US vote regarding the SSM?
What about those visible minorities did they jump on the SSM bandawagon or did they like OBAMA kill SSM?

Nothing wrong with the Liberal War room pushing cartoons of assassination, comparing him to Stalin or calling conservatives demons.

It only reinforces the disconnect from the recent university grad strategists with the ROC.

If you like I can link the studies and Catholic exodus from the Liberal ranks.

The crack about barium wasn't enough to set off your sarcasm detector? Sometimes I underestimate the dryness of my wit.

By the way, conservatives complaining about name-calling is ridiculous to the extreme. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

I love photoshopped images of Cons looking like the idiots they are, and have been doing my part to add to the library of images.

Jeff I think you are a one of the best lib blogs has to offer.

I did get your sarcasm, I just wanted to leave some information for the less tolerant in the left who will suggest Harper is the anti-christ.

I would prefer the Liberal Party run on a few detailed policies and offer an alternative to the current government.

Many of us bloggers feel the same way from both camps.

Let's have the adults debate on the policies and leave the war room games for the fringe parties.

The fake lake, and secret Liberal 5metre law are non issues.

Barium? Isotopes?

Jeff how dare you insinuate that the Cons are totally incompetent in the way they've handled the Chalk River facilities?

Oh, and CanadiunSmelly: Adscam!!! You forgot to mention it.

Really I was not taking cheapshots and could have forwarded links to Catholics leaving Liberal ranks.

If you like beaux we could review how the Chalk River Facility was another Liberal boondoggle starting with the reports from Auditor Sheila Fraser, massive leak, and the failure of the Maple Reactors that were to replace the Chalk River Facility that was fated to be decommissioned in 2000. The sweetheart deal signed in 2004 by AECL to supply MDS Isotopes for 40 years?

Sadly beaux relying on actual facts are rarely used by the mental gymnasts like yourself.

I thought MI was referring to the smell of gas wells in Alberta. The stone stench of money.

CS: Michael Coren's show is on CTS which got its licence approval from the CRTC as a religious channel. One might think Dion was set up to look bad on that show.

Gletcher Eis,

Coren is an equal opportunity punter, if you say something stupid he will let you have it. (No protection for left or right)

He might be leaning right but he allows experts as Tim Ball to appear on his show. The fake experts refuse to show up for debate.

If you watch the clip, Coren asks Dion why he was invoking God so often on his show in comparison to the other shows he has been on.

Dion in his defense was blunt and HONEST, his advisors told him alot of religious viewers watch this show.

(It was pandering 101 and did not come across as genuine)

I did NOT hold that against Dion, all politicians pander and used wedge politics.

It is the Carbon Tax, giving Ottawa more money as they know better how to handle or spend money.
