The top four things we care about, according to the Harper Conservatives

Tacked onto the end of an unrelated news release from FedDev Ontario about investing in Ottawa-area technology companies was this seemingly unrelated paragraph. And it illuminates the top four things Canadians care most about, at least according to the Harper government:

As outlined by the Prime Minister, the Government of Canada remains focused on what Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and their personal financial security.

No. 5, presumably, was pandas.

The current federal government threatens most, if not all of what I hold most important to me ..

My family is threatened by essentially all the actions of Stephen Harper, his droog Ministers and his backroom henchmen.. those unelected robowankers, dataminers, policywonks, trolls and poli sci geeks.

There is not a shred of evidence that the current government does anything to make our streets or communities safer.. quite the opposite in fact. Not to mention deadening our spirit ...

How should we take pride in a lick spittle bumpkin ignorant cadre of flawed scumbag political animals that were elected to represent Canada but ended up sucking bitumen froth from the arse end of petroleum factions, commodities dealers and bankers ?

What personal financial security would that be ? EI if I needed or deserved it ? Canada pension if I lived that long ? Would the Prime Minister or any of his Ministers or Senators or MP's or backroom boyz n girlz or cronies like to trade financial positions with me ? Sight unseen ?
